Last week I had the pleasure of touring Pittsburgh Magazine's Ultimate House 2018 and today I'm giving you all a little sneak peek. This year's project is Empire on Liberty, an old furniture warehouse built in the 1900s. Think 13 foot ceilings, exposed steel beams, roof top decks, and natural light galore. The project includes a 3,000-square-foot penthouse, condominiums and commercial space. The location is nestled inside the vibrant Bloomfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA.
Since its inception in 2015, teams of the region’s best and brightest in home-related businesses have created four “ultimate house's” in Greater Pittsburgh. The Ultimate House upholds and embodies the latest trends in home innovations and architectural design. Pittsburgh Magazine’s Ultimate House has raised nearly $250,000 for the Free Care Fund at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, ensuring that no child will go without care due to an inability to pay.
2018 project sponsors include: PPG Paints, Armina Stone, 84 Lumbar, Rex Glass and Mirror, Ethan Allen, IKEA, Closet Factory, Weisshouse, Bridgeville Appliance, and Rusmur Floors just to name a few. For the full list, visit here.
The 4th Annual Ultimate House will open its doors for public tours April 13-22 with all proceeds benefitting the Free Care Fund.
