I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. My clients are the absolute best. The thing I love most about what I do is getting to know the awesome families I work with. This family and I hit it off from the very beginning. We bonded early over each being a small yet mighty family of three, our trips to Disney, the challenges and rewards of being a working mom, and so much more. We spent many, many months working together to make their brand new house feel like a home. Their conversation, kindness and trust (and the trust of their sweet old pup, who never left my side on install days), filled me with such joy. Enjoy the reveal!
Simple. Classic. Functional. Clean-lined. All words used to describe their vision for their brand new kitchen all those months ago. I am so thrilled to finally share this fun project with all of you. There was literally a powder room in the middle of this kitchen. It had to go. As did pretty much everything else in order for their dream kitchen to become reality. What a transformation. And, what a pleasure it was to work with this awesome family. The best thing to come out of this kitchen renovation? Now calling this client, my sweet friend.
I knew from the very beginning this project was going to be the perfect match. The personal style and taste of my clients was spot on with the kind of home design project I was itching to tackle. Warm neutrals, a sophisticated aesthetic, simple, classic styling. Oh, yes. This was going to be good. The custom furniture pieces they selected are filled with so much texture and warmth. And, the pillows! Mixing all those striped patterns was like playing in pillow heaven.
You guys. This project has been months in the making. These clients sought my services in the very, very, VERY early stages of Christine McCall Home - thanks to a lil' story they'd seen in black and white newspaper print. From the beginning, they've trusted me and the vision we created for their media room. These newly retired empty nester's wanted to create a space for their kids to enjoy when they traveled home for holidays and summer break. I was so excited for how the space turned out that after I photographed the room I sat down on the sofa for a few minutes not wanting to leave. That's normal, right?!
